Will Battersby is a partner at Reno Productions, a New York film and theatre production company. His last film as producer was Certainty written by "Glee" cast member Mike O'Malley and directed by Peter Askin. The film stars Adelaide Clemens, Tom Lipinski, Bobby Moynihan, Tammy Blanchard, Giancarlo Esposito and Valerie Harper.
Prior to Certainty , Battersby produced The Bleeding House written and directed by graphic novelist Philip Gelatt and starred Alexandra Chando and Patrick Breen. It was released by Tribeca Film in April 2011 in conjunction with its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival that year.
Before that Battersby produced Trumbo directed by Peter Askin and starring Michael Douglas, Paul Giamatti, Liam Neeson and Donald Sutherland among others, which was released by Samuel Goldwyn Films and won the National Board of Review Freedom of Expression Award.
Prior to Reno, Battersby was Head of Development at HDNet Films where he worked on several films including Steven Soderbergh's Bubble and Academy Award-nominated Enron: The Smartest Guys in the Room directed by Alex Gibney. While there, he served as a producer on One Last Thing... starring Ethan Hawke, Cynthia Nixon and Wyclef Jean and Independent Spirit Award-nominated film The War Within.
Prior to HDNet Films, Battersby was a Motion Picture Literary agent at International Creative Management (ICM) in New York where he represented screenwriters and directors. Before moving to the United States and joining ICM, he worked as an Assistant Director in the BBC Drama Department on the primetime television show Eastenders.
